This original was painted in one day on August 9 2020 as well a handful of other works on paper in the same series. It captures my frustration on that day.
It’s an abstract snapshot of my hidden emotions. I remember it being hot and still at the Texas Studio along with the other work I did that day, I was looking forward to fall and thinking about the Texas spring. It’s green and lush here in the spring. Surprisingly so.
We all have the COVID blues. This piece is part of an ongoing series of works on paper that explore my intuitive and sometimes outright feelings the pandemic has had on me personally as well as family and friends.
