This original was painted in one day on August 9 2020 as well as 4 other works on paper and captures my thoughts and feelings.
I remember it being hot and still at the Texas Studio and the other work I did that same day I was looking forward to fall and then winter.
I listened to the locust singing as I finished this 2nd to last piece of the day - Van Morrison was on the stereo.
We all have the COVID blues. This piece is part of an ongoing series of works on paper that explore my intuitive and sometimes outright feelings the pandemic has had on me personally as well as family and friends.
